Your source files
Audio and video files you open here are processed inside your browser. The selected source is not uploaded or transmitted to PrivateMP3, and we do not receive its file name, contents, audio tracks or duration. The page keeps access to the local file only while the browser tab is using it. A supporting in-page browser assistant may call editor tools after that file is open; Convert and Save file remain visitor clicks, and the selected media still does not leave the device.
Temporary output storage
When the browser supports it, PrivateMP3 writes the file being produced to origin-private file system storage so a long conversion does not need to keep the complete output in memory. This storage belongs to the PrivateMP3 site inside your browser; the site operator cannot browse it remotely. The next conversion replaces the temporary output file. Clearing PrivateMP3 site data in your browser removes it. If this storage feature is unavailable, the output is assembled in browser memory instead.
A saved MP3, M4A or WAV is downloaded only when you press Save file. Your browser then places it in the download location you choose or have configured.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and understand which pages and tool outcomes need attention. In addition to ordinary page information such as approximate location, device and browser type, PrivateMP3 sends limited events when the browser lacks the required decoder, when conversion succeeds, or when it fails. A success event can include the chosen output format and whether AAC packet copy was used; a failure event can include the processing-stage error code.
These events do not include the selected file, its name, its contents, duration or source codec. They describe the tool state, not the media itself.
Advertising
This site is funded by advertising served by Google. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this and other sites.
You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings. For third-party vendors generally, see aboutads.info. For EEA, UK and Swiss visitors, consent-dependent advertising and analytics storage is denied by default until a choice is supplied through Google's consent service.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in browser settings and clear PrivateMP3 site data to remove its temporary output storage. The local conversion engine does not depend on advertising cookies, although blocking scripts or browser features required by the application can affect the page.
Hosting and performance measurement
The site is served as static files by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes standard request data such as IP addresses in order to deliver and protect the website. Source media conversion does not run on the hosting server.
Cloudflare also injects its Web Analytics performance beacon into the live HTML response. It reports page-load timing and aggregated dimensions such as page path, referrer, country, device type and browser. Cloudflare states that this service does not use cookies to track individuals across customer sites. It does not receive the local media selected in PrivateMP3.
Contact
Questions or corrections concerning this policy can be sent through the Contact page. Do not attach a private media file to a privacy request.
